Pizza and basil

I’m beginning to see my gardening efforts infiltrate the kitchen. I came home from work last night to find that my sister and my boyfriend had made a pizza for dinner. They made a Margherita-esque pizza with fresh basil leaves from the garden.

One night I have to squint and inhale dirt to see it. The next night, it’s on my pizza.

Suzanne’s visit to DC and her pictures of my front yard made me stop to marvel at how much progress has happened in a few weeks. The green beans went from this:

I planted green beans from seed.

To this:

Lookin' like weeds. I thinned them last night, so now there are six in the pot. There are still too many fruits in the basket, so I will transplant some to individual containers.
