Saturday night dinner

Trev and I finally went to a little Italian market in D.C. that we’ve been wanting to go to. It’s called A Litteri and sells fresh mozzarella, mascarpone, jars of olives and pickled peppers, anchovies, a million different kinds of pasta and a million-and-one bottles of wine. It was fun to look around, and we picked up some things for this dinner.

Trev made a delicious anchovy sauce with butter, anchovies and spices. He used Bucatini pasta, which is hollow in the center like a straw. Not a big fan of anchovies, but this was great.

We toasted some French baguette slices with olive oil and garlic, tomato, mozzarella and basil.

The moral of this post is that my boyfriend is a pretty good cook. He’s also a good writer. You can read his interesting stories about his ongoing journey of becoming a Luxembourg citizen on his blog. Enjoy!
