The summer has already been filled with sun, green things, beaches and kitty love – and it’s only July! So what have I been up to since my last post? Here ya go.
Lovin’ on my sweet kitties. June 26th was their 2nd year adoption day. Can’t believe they’ve grown up so much (and learned such naughty tricks) since then.
This is Maytag’s spot. She has to share it with the African Violet, but she gets most of the sun.
We took a Pirate Ship Cruise on the Potomac River for my friend Alysha’s birthday.
I channeled kindergarten crafts and made a bird feeder in an attempt to attract entertainment for the cats. Can’t say who ate more peanut butter, me or the squirrels.
Trev bought me red roses because he knows they’re my favorite. He is the best boyfriend a girl could ask for.
I’ve been eating tomatoes and peaches like it’s my job.
I volunteered at two farmers’ markets through DC Produce Plus. The program ensures that low-income residents get access to fresh, local produce. The market manager gave me tomatoes, summer squash and five bunches of collard greens.
This market is vital to the community – many fresh things and homemade goodies to enjoy.
Freezer be poppin’.
I also volunteered at a small market on H street, close to where I live. All farmers and products have to be local!
We took a weekend trip to Virginia Beach with our friends Casey and Janie. Sun and seafood really agree with us.
This is my beautiful new kitchen. We move in on Friday – more pictures to come!
All packed up, and ready for the move. It’s only two blocks away!
